Sergi Roberto OK for Betis as Jeremy Mathieu closes in on return
Luis Enrique will be able to count on Sergi Roberto if he feels he needs him for Saturday’s game against Real Betis.
The Reus-born central midfielder trained as normal on Friday in the final session ahead of the game and has completely recovered from the knock which saw him taken off at half-time against Sporting.
Barcelona’s training session included no members of the B team - several had trained with the first team this week - as Gerard Lopez also must prepare for this weekend’s fixtures.
More good news came in the form of Jeremy Mathieu, who was once again present for the rondos at the beginning of the session, as was the case on Wednesday.
The Frenchman will not play at the Benito Villamarin, but everything suggests he could return for the derby against Espanyol next weekend after recovering from a knee operation.
