Samuel Umtiti: Gerard Pique is a good example for me

Samuel Umtiti, FC Barcelona defender, has admitted that when he arrived at the club his reference point has been Gerard Pique, whom he views as a good example.
“From the first game I’ve focused on the things that he does and how he does them,” explained the French defender.
“I spoke a lot with Pique on and off the pitch. From when I arrived at Barcelona he’s been an example for me.”
Umtiti also explained that his move to Barcelona has helped him take his game forward.
“We defend and attack in a different way, I note that I’ve progressed in understanding the play, when you work day to day with great players your performance improves too.”
He will be taking on some of his team-mates as France face Spain in a friendly on Tuesday night.
