Robert Gonçalves leaves as Barça B release four players

FC Barcelona have notified Chamorro, Joel, Padilla and Robert Gonçalves that they will not be kept on with Barça B next season. This season Salva Chamorro participated in 16 league games after arriving in the winter transfer window, scoring one goal. He also played in the Copa Catalunya final, as did Robert Gonçalves. Padilla has been recovering from injury and Joel Huertas has been on loan at Lleida.

The decision to release these players form part of a large restructuring of Barça B, which is being undertaken by the coach Gerard Lopez and the technical secretary of the Blaugrana youth setup, Pep Segura. Barça B managed to maintain their position in Second Division B, and the objective now is to improve the squad with players from the youth teams and the signings of younger players who will have a chance to progress to the first team.

The cancellation of Salva Chamorro's contract will cost FC Barcelona 20,000 euros.
