Robert Fernandez thinks Barcelona will overcome heavy beating
"It was not our night and we have to congratulate Paris Saint-Germain. Football has these things," said Robert Fernandez after Barcelona's 4-0 humiliation by the French side in Paris.
"We did not come out well and they were on form. They came out very strong, starting at a high rhythm from the first moment. The early goal was vital, it affected how the game developed. In each moment they showed a freshness that we lacked."
However Fernandez did not want to think about the second leg just yet, because Barcelona host Leganes on Sunday.
"What has to happen is we forget this game. And think about what is coming up, the game against Leganes."
He added: "I'm sure this defeat will not affect us going forward. It was a bad night but each game is a story and our players know how to rise above it. I'm sure that on Sunday we will have a good game and we will win well."
