Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder Luka Moric will miss the Super Cup first leg at Camp Nou on Sunday due to suspension. Modric has to serve a ban for being sent off in the same competition in 2014.
Modric, according to AS and Marca, will miss the match against Barcelona because of the two bookings he picked up in the second leg game against Atletico Madrid three years ago.
At the time he was given a one-game ban, but Madrid have not played in the competition since and he has never served the suspension.
AS add that the rules have since changed, but it will not affect Modric's ban. However, as of 2015, any player sent off in the second leg of a Super Cup game will serve their suspension in the league.
