Real Madrid prove they are still two steps ahead of Barcelona in Clasico

It started really well and it ended terribly. It started in the form of a splendid goal from Neymar after three minutes, but ended fatally as Real Madrid produced a comeback.

Barça eventually fell 3-1 in the Bernabeu and Madrid demonstrated that, in these moments, they are still two steps ahead of the Blaugrana.

The disappointing performance from Luis Enrique's side, especially in the second half, generates a few doubts around the club's new project.

And the KO against Madrid becomes the second defeat in the only two 'important' matches that Barça have played this season.

They were beaten by PSG in Paris in the Champions League (3-2) and there were several deficiencies evident, notably in defence, and in the Bernabeu they multiplied.

Gerard Pique gave a way a stupid penalty that allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to equalise and from that moment the match was completely Madrid white.

Luis Enrique must reflect on the lineup he opted for in the Spanish capital.

It was brave, because he put out his strongest weapons (With Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez), but it failed because Barça did not have control of the game.

An end-to-end game saw Madrid come out the much more superior side.

Messi, meanwhile, was unable to break the record of Telmo Zarra (251-250 goals it remains), but that is a minor issue in the scheme of things.

The worst part is the image Barça offered. They must look for solutions now.
