Real Madrid plan to appeal Sergio Ramos' Clasico red card

Real Madrid plan to appeal Sergio Ramos' Clasico red card

AS report Los Blancos feel the defender's second half dismissal was excessive

The player also applauded after the red but that didn't appear in the referee's report

Not satisifed with referee Hernandez Hernandez not including Sergio Ramos' reaction to his red card in his post game report, Real Madrid plan to appeal the centre-back's dismissal, according to Diario AS.

The cited media say that Real Madrid feel the decision was disproportionate. The consider the challenge a yellow card, but certainly don't think it was worth of a red card. "It's true I arrived late, but I never wanted to do damage. Messi did well, jumped and you can see I don't even touch him," Ramos said in the mixed zone after the game.

The RFEF's Competition Committee will meet on Tuesday and, save a scandal, will confirm the length of the defender's ban. Madrid then plan to appeal whatver is given and will take it as far as possible to have Ramos available for Wednesday's game against Deportivo La Coruna.

Remember that Pepe is injured and Raphael Varane has only just returned to training -- he could return in time for Depor. Zidane, therefore, may have to improvise to find a partner for Nacho Fernandez in the game in A Coruna.
