Real Betis and Granada interested in signing Stoke's Marc Muniesa

The defender stands out for his ability to bring the ball out, good anticipation and most importantly, willingness to move

Marc Muniesa is one of the names that both Real Betis and Granada’s sporting directors have been bearing in mind for the upcoming transfer window. The former FC Barcelona centre-back is not in Mark Hughes current plans and the player could look for an exit by coming back to La Liga.

According to Sevillian newspaper Estadio Deportivo, the centre-back who joined Stoke in 2013, has two sides interested in him. He would be willing to leave a club where he has few opportunities.

“It’s the worst season for me because I have not played a game, I only played 50 minutes when Bards (Phil Bardsley) was injured against Sunderland. I am working hard and I have to be patient. I am hungry and I want to play in the first team. It’s my fourth season here, waiting for my opportunity and if I don’t get it, I will have to look at something for January,” Muniesa said.

The defender stands out for his ability to bring the ball out, good anticipation and most importantly, willingness to move clubs. Betis only have three centre-backs and none are left footed like Muniesa.
