Rakitic: Barça are going to be even stronger when Luis Suarez is scoring

"We were spectacular for 35 minutes," Rakitic said

The Croatian set up Alcacer's second goal vs. Sevilla

Ivan Rakitic was delighted with Barcelona's first half showing against Sevilla. "It's an important win," he said. "Sevilla are a tough team, dangerous and strong. We were spectacular for 35 minutes."

The Croatian highlighted the rhythm of a hard fought win against a Sevilla side that pressed high. "In general, teams are more daring against us," he added. "It was a game with a really high rhythm against one of the best sides in the league. We know that they're not going to give us anything."

Asked about Luis Suarez's lack of goals (just three this season), he defended the Uruguayan and said: "We're going to be even stronger when he is scoring."

Rakitic also spoke about the moments the Barcelona goals arrived: "We waited for the moment and it arrived. We played really well and we're happy with the win."

On two-goal Paco Alcacer, he said: "We have a lot of faith in Paco. He's always worked hard, never dropped his head and I am delighted for him. I hope he continues in this form."
