Rafinha has a knee injury and must take further tests

The club are hoping he will not be out for long after he was forced off in Andalusia

Rafinha Alcantara will be tested on Monday after sustaining a knee injury as Barcelona won 4-1 at Granada.

He was taken off after 16 minutes after he felt pain in his right knee, with the club releasing a statement saying it is a meniscus problem.

Luis Enrique said: “In principle it’s nothing too serious but it’s something that could mean that he misses the next few weeks, which means it’s a big blow.”

It is Rafinha’s fifth injury of the season, with the player suffering bad luck in this campaign.

He is an important figure for Barcelona in the 3-4-3 formation, playing on the right wing, and might be a big miss with games against Sevilla, Real Madrid, Juventus (twice) and Espanyol coming up, among others.
