Sport have learned that he is set to miss most of April, aiming for a return against Espanyol

Rafinha Alcantara, FC Barcelona midfielder, is set to miss between three to four weeks with a meniscus injury in his right knee.

That would see him miss out on both Champions League quarter-final fixtures against Juventus and the Clasico. He could reappear against Espanyol, the final weekend of April. 

He took tests on the problem he suffered against Granada at Nuevo Los Carmenes, on Monday morning. Tests that confirmed he has a small meniscus injury in his right knee.

Barcelona say “how it develops in the next 48 hours will determine what course of therapeutic action will be taken”. 

It is the fifth injury Rafinha has suffered this season He has played 28 games and scored seven goals, six in La Liga and one in the Copa del Rey.
