Rafinha does not see a clear future for himself at Barcelona. In fact, to be more concrete still, he is considering leaving the squad at the end of the season instead of fulfilling his contract that takes him until 2020.
This is what he has told people close to him. He has thought about the matter seriously for a few weeks. The midfielder considers that his game has stalled because of a lack of continuity. Between physical problems and the absence of minutes in some important games, Rafinha thinks he has not played as well as he can.
Luis Enrique leaving has also tipped the balance in favour of a June exit. The coach has been his main supporter and he feels less tied to the club when Lucho leaves.
A few weeks ago, through his father Mazinho's company, he has received numerous offers from the Premier League, Serie A and the Bundesliga. His decision is not firm yet, with the start against PSG a vote of confidence, but it is not clear yet whether he is going to be a regular starter from here on out.
