Purchase option the last hurdle preventing Munir's move to Valencia

Munir El Haddadi will become a Valencia player in a matter of hours with Los Che and Barcelona close to finalising a deal for the 20-year-old.

The transfer was formulated last Friday although some important details were still left pending to be confirmed. Since this morning, both clubs are negotiating the purchase option for Valencia in Munir's contract in a topic which is causing debate and disagreement.

Valencia insist that the fee should not be raised while Barça have always insisted that the transfer would command a fee of 15 million euros. An agreement is expected to be reached at some point on Monday.

Los Che also had to compromise with some of the economic claims raised by the forward that were essential for the Spaniard to reject Celta Vigo in favour of a move to the Estadio de Mestalla.

All parties have shown willingness and optimism to close this deal and Munir's transfer will be confirmed today or tomorrow at the latest.
