PSG get in Barcelona's way over De Jong transfer
The Parisian side are interested in bringing in the young midfielder
PSG are interested in signing Frenkie De Jong, the midfielder Barcelona have been trying to sign for weeks. Neymar's side are looking for a No 6 and a No 8, and the young Dutch talent fits the bill perfectly.
The French side met with his agent Ali Dursun to speak about a deal. PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique was their representative. They are also hoping to sign one of N'Golo Kante of Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl and Inter Milan's Radja Nainggolan.
CLASH WITH BARCA
With PSG's latest move they have put themselves in a clash with Barca again, which will wear at the relations between the two sides that already deteriorated over Neymar's transfer.
Barcelona have made two offers for the young Dutchmanm but Ajax have not yet accepted, hoping he stays for the final year of his contract. They would let him go for 50m euros, a fee Barcelona have not stretched to.
NEW OFFER
This week Barcelona are expected to make a new bid to Ajax, but PSG could again intervene. The Catalans have the advantage of De Jong wanting to play beside Leo Messi, and learn from the best player in the world. That determination could be the factor that takes him to Catalonia.
