PSG on charm offensive as Alves' contract situation remains unsolved

Dani Alves' future remains up in the air as a new contract agreement is yet to be reached with Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director, Olivier Letang, though, has made it clear he'd like to see the Brazilian in the French capital.

"He is the optimum player," he said.

"As are many of Barcelona's players. But it is true that he is nearing the end of his contract and for that reason there are a lot of rumours around.

"Rumours that I don't want to comment on, though.

"I think that Alves himself has denied them on more than one occasion."

Alves' agent, Dinorah Santa Ana, was in Paris last Thursday to listen to what the Ligue 1 champions had to say

However, the 31-year-old would like to sign new terms with Barça, but his request for upto three years (the third one optional) is slowing down negotiations.
