Probable dates for Super Cup between Barcelona and Athletic Club
FC Barcelona can now begin to plan how they will manage the month of August. Providing there are no late changes, everything indicates the Spanish Super Cup, which will be between Athletic Club and Barça, will take place on August 14 (Friday) and August 17 (Monday), with the Joan Gamper set to be played on August 5 (Wednesday).
In the middle of those matches, Barça are due to take on Sevilla in the European Super Cup. That game will be played on August 11 (Tuesday) at the Boris Paichadze Stadium in Tbilisi (Georgia).
The dates for the Spanish Super Cup are still not official, but everything suggests that they will be confirmed in the coming hours, following the news that La Liga will start on the weekend commencing August 22/23.
Before both Super Cups, Barça will have the chance to present the second year of the 'Luis Enrique era' at Camp Nou on August 5 -- or a date very close to then -- at the Joan Gamper Trophy match. August is going to be a busy month.
