Reports: Premier League side Swansea City interested in Aleix Vidal

Swansea City are one of the clubs in the market for Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal.

Vidal, a summer signing from Sevilla in 2015, has seen his opportunities in Luis Enrique’s side restricted since his part in the 2-1 defeat at home to Alaves in September.

He did reappear in recent games against Hercules and Borussia Monchengladbach, earning his manager’s praise after the latter, but he could still leave Camp Nou in January.

Swansea manager Bob Bradley will be given funds to strengthen his side next month in their battle against the drop in the Premier League and ESPN say Vidal is a target

The Welsh club, the report claims, want to sign the Spain international on loan until the end of the season, but they may face competition from elsewhere.

Vidal previously denied offering himself to Sevilla, who he left for 16 million euros, and several Italian sides have always been linked with a move for the 27-year-old

The player himself, after the Gladbach game, expressed his desire to remain at Barça, the club he left as a teenager.

"I enjoy every day that I am here," he said. "I've never said I want to leave and I will always work 1000 percent to be able to be a success here."
