Pochettino linked as possible Luis Enrique substitute at Barcelona

Reports in England say the Argentine is among the favourites if Barça end up needing a new coach

FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique Martinez has chosen to remain silent in regards to his contract situation at the club, with his deal up in the summer. That, in turn, has led to speculation about who will be the club's manager next season.

Luis Enrique's continued refusal to talk about the matter increases the rumours, provoking a new name to be linked with the role for next season every couple of days.

On Sunday, the English press suggested Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is one of the coaches Barça are interested in and that he's on the list of names which has been drawn up by sporting director Robert Fernandez.

The 'Daily Star' assure that Pochettino has earned respect and admiration in the Premier League thanks to his work with Southampton and now Spurs. Last summer he was linked with Manchester United, but agreed a contract extension until 2021 at White Hart Lane.

Pochettino, who previously coached Espanyol between 2009 and 2012, is reportedly joined on the list by coaches such as Ronald Koeman and Ernesto Valverde
