Gerard Pique travelled to Italy on Monday to accompany his partner Shakira at a publicity event. The Barcelona player took advantage of his visit to the country to appear on the show ‘Pomeriggio Cinque', which is presented by actress Barbara D’Urso.

During the interview, Pique spoke about his professional and his personal life. During the South Africa World Cup in 2010, when he first met his partner, the central defender made a curious promise to the singer: "She said to me that we could see each other at the celebration dinner of the team that won the World Cuo, so I told here that if that was the only way to see her, I would win the tournament."

The presenter of the show insisted on Pique answering a question about the possibility of one day getting married: "She's told me to ask her. I am sure that we will get married in the future."
Pique will return to Barcelona soon as Luis Enrique's side return to training Wednesday to prepare for Saturday's Copa del Rey final against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.
