The Barça defender wants to end his career at Camp Nou and ruled out a move to Italy

As for the Champions League final, he expects a good game between Juve & Madrid with few goals

Gerard Pique is in Milan to take part in a promotional event and while he’s there he has given an interview to Mediaset Italia’s Pomeriggio Cinque about his personal and his private life.

The Catalan defender assured that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona: “I am really happy at Barcelona. It’s the club of my life and I want to continue playing for Barça. My idea is to end my career there.”

Asked about signing for an Italian side one day, he was clear: “I like Italy and Italian football, but my love for Barcelona is very big. Maybe if I was younger and hadn’t had the career I’ve had with Barça, I could have tried Italian football. But I can’t imagine myself away from Barcelona now.”

NEXT MANAGER

Pique said that he “doesn’t know who will be the next manager” when Luis Enrique leaves and when asked about current Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri taking over, he insisted: “I have good memories of when Allegri was with Milan and now he’s doing really well with Juve, but we don’t know who will be the next manager.”

As for the final of the Champions League, which will be played between Juve and Real Madrid, Gerard didn’t hide that “it will be a game between two great teams. Juve are a team that have been doing well for a number of years, they have great players like Buffon, who really wants to win the trophy for the first time, and Dani Alves, who is our ex-teammate and it would be nice if he could win it.”

What Pique predicts is that it “will be a game with few goals.”

HOW TO BEAT MADRID

Asked how to beat Real Madrid, Pique responded: “We achieved it through possession of the ball and by trying to detain their counter-attacks, but Juve play a different way. They’re strong defensively as they showed in the two games against us when we couldn’t score a single goal.”

He added that "Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli are really intelligent, it will be a great final.”

Finally, asked if he considers Juve one of Europe’s biggest clubs, he said: “Absolutely, yes. Like I say, they’ve been doing well for a number of years. Some seasons have they’ve done things really well, even with changing players. Last year with Pogba, before with Pirlo and now with Dybala: there’s been a great renewal of the squad.”
