Pique boasts of breaking the 'Neymar renewal' exclusive news!

The announcement made by Neymar on Twitter that he will be staying at Barça certainly did not catch Gerard Pique off-guard. 

Pique was one of the first in predicting that the Brazilian would remain with the club back on February 28, in one of his Periscope transmissions. Now the Barça centre-back has reacted quickly to reply to his teammate's tweet.

Neymar's tweet was very clear in its meaning, and Pique responded within minutes with the message: "There was someone who said months ago that you were staying", jokingly referring to himself. He then congratulates 'Ney' for the new contract.

The Catalan defender also went on record in February to say "I would bet my arm or a hand that 'Ney' never goes to Real Madrid. he likes Barcelona, he loves the club and the city and I think he will stay here for many years."
