Gerard Piqué, the FC Barcelona defender, will play his 400th competitive game for the club against Alavés at the Mendizorroza on Saturday. He made his debut on 13 August 2008 in a Champions League qualifier against Wisła Kraków and has racked up 399 games since then.

He has been a key player for Barça over the years for all the managers who have come and gone in his time: Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Tata Martino and Luis Enrique.

This is Piqué’s 10th season in Barça’s first team and his 399 games have brought 286 victories (71.67%), 72 draws (18.04%) and 41 defeats (10.27%). He has scored a total of 35 goals (21 in La Liga, 9 in the Champions League and 5 in the Copa del Rey).
