Is Guardiola set to leave Barça without another one of their targets?

Barcelona are struggling to find a forward that suits Luis Enrique's sporting needs and the club's economic requirements.

After Manchester City took the initiative with Nolito, who has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with the English club, Pep Guardiola's side now have another player who Barça have followed in their sight.

Schalke forward Leroy Sane, a wideman who is 20 and has impressed in the Bundesliga this season, is a 39 million euro target for City.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola feels that after tying Nolito down for the left flank, Sane would be the perfect complement as he can play across the attack. The Premier League side feel 39 million would prove a good investment.

Barça's sporting director Robert Fernandez has followed Sane live several times this season and the reports are excellent. In fact, some reports in January claimed the Catalan club had already reached an agreement with the player

Sane himself has admitted it would be a dream to play for Barça. However, despite his youth, his price has shot up due to his form and potential, leaving him outside of Barça's remit. Instead, they are focused on the Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.
