Brazil boss Tite is convinced that Paulinho will be a success at Barcelona. The coach who has taken the Seleçao out of their depression highlighted the midfielder's impressive start to life at Camp Nou.
"I think that Paulinho is evolving and his level is going up, from my point of view. The reason for that is he's playing in Barcelona's system," Tite said from Brazil's training centre in Rio de Janeiro, where preparations are underway for Thursday's game against Bolivia in La Paz.
For Tite, Barça's system allows Paulinho to add more strings to his bow. He defines the 29-year-old as a "box-to-box player with good intuition and perception of play, which is one of his best characteristics." According to the Brazil manager, Paulinho's evolution "is going to be very good for Barcelona."
Tite is delighted with the Blaugrana version of the player, but he wanted to make it clear that at no moment did he advise him to leave Guangzhou Evergrande and the Chinese Super League.
"Just to confirm, during the transfer window, I didn't give any advice, not to Paulinho nor to any other Brazilians about where they should play. I don't think I have that right and I don't want to interfere in the work managers and directors are doing at their various clubs," he declared.
