The magazine have revealed, in their opinion, the summer's worst deals

Neymar is also on the list, although for a different reason to Paulinho

Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar and Barcelona's Paulinho form part of a list featuring the 10 worst signings of the summer transfer window, along with Aston Villa's John Terry. The list was compiled by Four Four Two.

Neymar and Paulinho are both included for different reasons, mind. On Neymar, the magazine says "he is is superb, incontestably one of the best players in the world, but his transfer constituted a low point for the game -- and its knock-on effects have been significant."

Meanwhile, on Paulinho, they remember his time in the Premier League with Tottenham, but that's not the problem: "Forget the preconceptions about Paulinho based on his disappointing time in England and just consider the raw details: he’s 29 years old, has been playing in the Chinese Super League and cost Barcelona 40 million euros."

THE LIST:

  • 1. John Terry (Aston Villa)
  • 2. Paulinho (FC Barcelona)
  • 3. Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain)
  • 4. Pablo Zabaleta (West Ham)
  • 5. Danny Drinkwater (Chelsea)
  • 6. Joselu (Newcastle)
  • 7. Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain)
  • 8. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool)
  • 9. Anthony Modeste (Tianjin Quanjian)
  • 10. Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton)
