Paris Saint-Germain: There's nothing at all regarding Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain - for now - are not contemplating signing Neymar from Barça this summer.

Sources close to PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi have told SPORT: "There's nothing at all [in the stories linking Neymar with a move to the Parc des Princes]."

As a result, the rumours that have persisted in recent days from different media outlets about the pressure that the Parisiens are putting on the Blaugrana to push through a deal are premature.

Barça and Neymar have already reached an agreement over a four-year contract extension (with the option of a fifth year until 2022), and the deal must be formalised in mid-July in order to post the figures for the 2016/17 financial year.

PSG are now in the process of hiring Unai Emery but must fire Laurent Blanc to make it official, an expensive cessation given the Frenchman only signed a two-year extension in February 2016.

The Parisiens' are also going into their first season after overcoming the FIFA Financial Fair Play sanctions imposed on the club, and signing Neymar would breach those rules once more.
