Paris Saint-Germain now know how much Busquets would cost them

French champions Paris Saint-Germain now know how much Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets - who they have been following for a while and have increased their interest in over the last few months - would cost them.

PSG, according to the newspaper L’Equipe, have already made contact with the Barça man, who is waiting for the Catalan club’s board to renew his contract as promised, although they have still not done so. For that reason, Busquets is running out of patience, as he feels there’s not been a valid explanation for the delay. 

Barcelona promised they would talk about the renewal heading into this summer, but Busquets is still in the dark. He signed his current deal in February 2015 and it expires on June 30, 2019. His release clause is 150 million euros. 

That’s the number which, according L’Equipe, Barça’s board have pointed PSG towards if they are to continue to insist in trying to sign the Spain international. Therefore, it seems that PSG will look for an alternative.
