Palmeiras meet with both Barça and Real Madrid over Gabriel Jesus

The sporting director of Brazilian club Palmeiras, Alexandre Mattos, is in Spain to meet with directors of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The motive is none other than the transfer of Gabriel Jesus.

The new star of Brazilian football is highly valued by several European clubs, and the two superpowers of La Liga covet him greatly.

Following the numerous contacts made by Barça, through director Raul Sanllehi, who visited Brazil recently, now it is the Palmeiras representatives who have travelled to Spain to continue the discussions.

FC Barcelona want to pursue the signing of the Brazil forward as an investment for the future and their wish would be to complete a deal, before loaning the player back to his current club until the end of 2016.

In this sense, progress was made in the negotiations in Brazil, once Palmeiras became the main owner of the player's rights.

The footballing explosion of Gabriel Jesus, one of the top scorers in the Brazilian league and a main focal point of the Brazilian Olympic side, has attracted the interest of different clubs.

Inter Milan is one of the most interested, but the main threat for FC Barcelona comes from Real Madrid, who are open to starting an open war with the Liga champions in the transfer market.
