Coach Cuca says the youngster's move is good for the player and the club

Vitinho will join Barça B on loan with an option to buy next summer

The deal for Vitinho to move on loan to Barça B could become a reality in a matter of days. In the last few hours, the operation for the young midfielder to move to Spain has been given the all clear by Palmeiras manager Cuca.

"I've heard something about Vitinho's exit and it seems good for the player and the club if he goes to Barcelona B. He's training well but, unfortunately, he can't get the necessary minutes with us. At the moment, he needs to play," Cuca sid.

Vitinho's arrival will be put on hold until after this weekend, when Barça B hope to seal their return to Segunda A. They host Racing Santander at the Mini with a 4-1 lead from the first leg.

In principle, the 19-year-old will join Barça B on loan, although the club will have an option to sign him on a permanent deal in 2018 -- as they did with Marlon Santos.

The presence of Raul Sanllehi, Barça's director of professional football, in Brazil this week may have been to finalise the details of this deal.
