Paco Alcacer passes Barcelona medical as transfer nears completion

Paco Alcacer is one step closer to completing his transfer from Valencia to Barcelona after passing his medical on Monday morning.

The 22-year-old, who wasn't in Los Che's squad to face Eibar, will finalise his move to the Camp Nou for a fee of 30 million euros fixed plus five million in variables on a five-year contract.

As reported in SPORT on Saturday, Barça's intention is to present Alcacer as the club's latest signing before the start of the international break - where the striker has been called-up up to the Spain squad by Julen Lopetegui.

The Blaugrana's interest in Alcacer was such that even sporting director Robert Fernandez recently admitted that he would be the man to fill the fourth forward void for Luis Enrique.

"Alcacer is a player that interests us a lot - it's Alcacer or no one, we are clear on this," he said.
