Paco Alcacer highlights Sergi Roberto as an example for him to follow
Paco Alcacer has picked out Sergi Roberto as an example to follow at Barcelona.
The forward has been signed as a "fourth forward" and knows his game-time may be limited, but despite being a classic No 9, he is willing to play out wide and in other places the manager may wish to use him.
"The manager will decide what role I have. It’s a long season and anything can happen," he said during a press conference at his presentation.
"Everyone is here to add what they can to the team. Sergi Roberto is one example to follow. He started as a central midfielder and has ended up playing a number of positions — right-back, right wing. I will play where the manager decides, no problem.
"My position is centre forward, but if I have to adapt and play in the wing, I will. I come here with a lot of enthusiasm. I’m keen to grow as a player alongside the best in the world. It’s a privilege."
