As one returns to Japan, what is going on with the Barça kids hit by FIFA ban?

It all began in 2013. Through the Catalan Football Federation, FIFA began to investigate the signing of Barcelona teenager Lee Seung Woo.

It caught Barça by surprise. FIFA were soon investigating other players, too.

(Koreans Paik Seung-Ho and Jang Gyeolhee, Patrice Sousia from Cameroon, French youngster Theo Chendri and the Nigerian Bobby Adekanye. One year later: Takefusa Kubo from Japan, Frenchman Kais Ruiz and Ben Lederman from the USA).

In total, nine players have had their dream of playing at Barça hit.

For Take and his family, it has proved too much and he will return to Japan. Here is the status of the players in the spotlight.

Seung-Ho Paik (17/3/1997): Midfielder for Juvenil A. Has now turned 18 but can't play until Barça are allowed to sign players again.

Theo Chandri (17/5/1997): French midfielder with Juvenil A. Was able to play again when he turned 16.

Lee Seung Woo (6/1/1998): Has three years left on his contract with Barcelona and will be able to begin playing in January 2016. Highly rated at the club.

Jang Gyeolhee (4/4/1998): Riught winger for Juvenil B. Turns 17 soon, so has one yeat to wait until he can play.

Patrice Sousia (18/1/1999): Cameroon striker for Cadete A who joined the club in 2012-13 from the Samuel Eto'o Foundation. Can't play until he is 18 in 2017.

Bobby Adekanye (14/2/1999): Left winger who is on loan as PSV Eindhoven. When Barça's sanction ends, he will return to the club.

Ben Lederman (8/5/2000): American midfielder who plays for Cadete B. Joined in 2011, but won't be able to play until 2018 in theory.

Takefusa Kubo (4/6/2001): Four years was too long to wait and the Japanese striker decided to return home this week.

Kais Ruiz (26/08/2002): French midfielder who was part of Infantil B. In January, Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed he would return to French. PSG was an option, but there is no confirmation where he is.
