Old friends: Celta Vigo have FOUR ex-Barcelona players

There are four former Blaugrana footballers who have worn the Celta Vigo shirt this season.

Andreu Fontas

Luis Enrique gave him a chance with Barcelona B, with the left-back playing central midfield role, and also in central defence. Compensates for his lack of speed with good positioning and concentration. A bad knee injury has hamprered his progresss. An Achilles tendon problem will rule him out on Sunday.

Nolito

Manuel Agudo Duran, better known as Nolito, needs little introduction. The forward has been Lucho's constant request to help reinforce Barcelona's attack.

At Celta Vigo he has become very conssitent, a wide-man who can score, unabalance defences and is constantly involved.

Sergi Gomez

The centre-back's power didn't go unnoticed by Pep Guardiola when he played with Barcelona's youth sides. Pep partnered him with Milito in a 3-1 defeat by Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup clash at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. He has found a position at Celta Vigo in Berizzo's first XI, since Fontas was injured.

Carles Planas

He was a left-back at Barcelona in the youth categories, with Montoya on the opposite flank. In February 2009 he started with Barcelona B, with Luis Enrique on the bench. After debuting with the first team in the Copa del Rey and playing some minutes against Benfica, he never truly entered in the club's plans, but at Celta he found he had the confidence of the club and the fans.
