OFFICIAL: Sergio Busquets renews with Barcelona until 2021
Sergio Busquets has renewed his contract with Barcelona, committing his future to the club until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The midfielder’s new terms also includes an option to extend his deal for an additional two years, while his release clause has risen to 200 million euros.
As part of the new deal Busquets will also see a notable increase in his salary and will become one of the best paid players in the squad, behind only Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Andres Iniesta.
The new contract between Barça and the 27-year-old will be signed in the coming days, before he heads off to join up with the Spain squad ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
