Official: Santiago Bueno is now an FC Barcelona player
The Catalan club have confirmed the arrival of the Uruguayan central defender from Peñarol
FC Barcelona and CA Peñarol have reached an agreement for the transfer of Santiago Ignacio Bueno Sciutto, the club have confirmed.
According to a statement, Santiago Bueno joins Barça until June 30 2019, with an option to extend his terms by three more years -- although there's been no confirmation of the figures involved in the deal.
SPORT were first able to reveal Barça's interest in the young centre-back earlier this week.
Remember that Bueno, 18, has become highly rated in his native Uruguay in recent months. Barcelona have followed him for a while, with talks picking up recently and the deal closed on deadline day.
At the moment, Bueno is with Uruguay U20s at the South American Youth Football Championship. Once that's finished, he will join up with Barça B.
