OFFICIAL: Neymar signs new five-year Barcelona contract, tying him down until 2021

Barcelona have made Neymar's contract renewal official, revealing that the Brazilian will remain linked to the club for another five years, until June 30, 2021.

With the new deal, Neymar will receive a substantial wage increase, but the main news is that his release clause is now staggered.

In the first year of the new deal, it will be 200 million euros; in the second year it will be 222 million euros; and from the third year onwards, it will rise to 250 million euros (2018-2021).

Neymar will return to Barcelona on July 15 to complete the renewal at an official event alongside Barça president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

After that, the 24-year-old will join up with the Brazil squad for the Olympic Games, which are taking place in Rio de Janeiro in August.
