Nolito: At this moment I haven't signed for City, or spoken to Guardiola

Nolito's future remains uncertain for the majority of observers but that's not what it appears after his recent statements to both COPE and Radio Marca, where he threw clues about a move to the Premier League.

The Spaniard has long been a target of Barça, with the club keen to add to its options alongside the "MSN" in attack. It seems now, however, that Manchester City are on the brink of acquiring his signature.

"We'll see what happens with my future, but I'm not complaining about how things are going on the pitch for me," he began, "For now, I've not signed for City, I don't lie - we'll see."

When asked if he'd spoken to Blues coach Pep Guardiola, the 29-year-old replied with a blunt "no".

Nolito is not tired of waiting to see where he'll be playing next season but some of his comments have been interpreted as him favouring a move to Manchester and that he doesn't want to hang around for the Blaugrana to make their move any longer.

"In life you have to be brave and make decisions and I dedicate myself to playing football, which is my passion," the former Barça B player continued.

"I left Barça, went to Granada, Benfica and Celta... I don't complain, [my career] is going very well."

It's expected that - bar any last-minute hiccups - City will announce Nolito's signing after the conclusion of Spain's involvement in Euro 2016.
