Nili, Marlon & Aleña: The Barça B players in first team contention

Luis Enrique could call as many as three youngsters up for Saturday's game against Granada

Luis Enrique will have to dip into Barça B to complete his squad for the game against Granada in La Liga this weekend.

Friday’s training session, the final one before the game, confirmed the absences of Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal, leaving Luis Enrique with just 16 players, which includes three goalkeepers. Therefore, the coach could call up as many as three youngsters: Marlon, Nili and Aleña.

Marlon and Nili trained with the first team on Thursday and on Friday were joined by Carles Aleña, who took the place of Alex Carbonell. Aleña was in the squad at Valencia last weekend as well. Carbonell, meanwhile, will play for Barça on Saturday against Llagostera.

Marlon would be the backup in the middle of defence following injuries to Pique and Mathieu, while Nili would cover Sergi Roberto at right-back. Aleña would occupy Arda Turan's role if required.
