Neymar will travel to Paris on Sunday to talk with PSG

The Neymar saga is reaching a decisive phase. The player will travel to Paris on Sunday to rejoin his Paris Saint-Germain teammates, sources close to the player have confirmed to SPORT.  

The idea is for Neymar to get a private jet to the French capital on Sunday evening. On Monday, he will go to the club's training ground to begin preseason under coach Thomas Tuchel, but he will also have a meeting with sporting director Leonardo. 

Neymar has already told PSG's hierarchy that he wants to leave this summer. He did so before his holiday and he confirmed his intentions in a telephone call with Leonardo. 

PSG called him out when he didn't return for training last week -- even though he'd agreed a later return date -- and Leonardo's admitted he can leave if the deal is right for everyone involved. 

Barcelona continue to monitor the situation ahead of a potential return. They believe PSG will end up negotiating a deal on more favourable terms as time drags on. 

Neymar wants to return to Barça, who he left for PSG in 2017, to continue his career at Camp Nou.
