Neymar will be ready for start of the season
Barcelona star Neymar says he will be fit to play in the match against Club Leon in August
Neymar said on Thursday that he is "100 percent" certain he will be ready to play for Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Mexican side Club Leon on August 18.
The Brazilian, currently in Japan for promotional purposes, will return to training with Barça on August 5.
"Little by little I am recovering from the injury," Neymar said.
"I want to have a really good season and I am hopeful I can help my team get some good results.
"Against Leon I will play," the Brazilian said in reference to Gamper match, which serves as a presentation of the Barcelona squad to the fans ahead of the new season.
Around 700 fans greeted Neymar when he arrived in Japan, for what is his third visit to the country.
He was previously there with Brazil U-16s and for the Club World Cup in 2011, when his then Santos side were beaten 4-0 by Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in the final.
Neymar's confidence in his recovery comes as a boost to Barça, who are likely to be without Luis Suarez for the opening months of the season.
