Neymar: MSN deserve to be on Ballon d'Or podium
Brazilian forward Neymar says that he believes Barcelona's front three deserve to occupy the Ballon d'Or podium.
"I think I do deserve to be [among the finalists] for what I'm doing. I would be happy if the trident was among the three. For all the history we are making and because of what we have conquered, all three should be there," Neymar said in an interview with Globo.
However, he doesn't consider these types of awards too important, saying it's more important to play in and win competitions.
"I never played football to become the best in the world or for the Ballon d'Or. I always played to better than I was, to reach my targets and to get better. Playing better, training better. To be the best in the world is a consequence of that work."
