Neymar: "My intention is to sign new Barça contract"

Neymar dazzled in Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday and then confirmed his intention is to commit his future to the Catalan club.

The Brazilian scored twice and created another goal as Barça maintained their four point advantage over Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.

His contract runs for another two and a half years, but Barcelona are keen to have him sign a deal which keeps him at Camp Nou until 2021.

"I've still got years on my contract - my father has already spoken about my future,” the 23-year-old said after his role in the win over La Real.

"We're talking about a renewal because my intention is to do so."

Neymar’s second goal in the win came in the 52nd minutes and he seemed to spend the rest of the match trying to set up Lionel Messi - Luis Suarez had already scored, too.

"It's true that, at the end, I looked for Leo so he could score his goal,” he confirmed.

“Off the pitch, he helps us a lot. I'm happy when Suarez and Messi score, and they are when I do.

“I’m very happy with everything we're doing at the moment.

“I want to help my team-mates and keep scoring and creating goals.”
