Neymar: Barça want to win La Liga and we're going to fight for it

Barcelona star Neymar has not given up on winning La Liga and says the Catalan side will fight until their last breath to eat into the lead built up by Real Madrid, who could move seven points clear if they win their two games in hand.

"I recognise that it's a little difficult, but nothing is impossible," he said in an interview with Red Bull, a company he has a relationship with, in footage shown on TV3 on Sunday.

"Last year, for example, we were 12 points clear and we ended up winning the league by one or two points, if I am not wrong.

"There is still loads of games left and anything can happen. I've already won seven titles with Barcelona and I want more. We are focused on the games, hungry to win the title and we're going to fight for it."

GOAL DROUGHT

As for his lack of goals this season, Neymar adds that, despite creating a lot, it's difficult when you don't score as often. However, he's sure that things will change sooner or later.

"It's difficult when you don't score," he admitted. "Above all if you are a forward and the expectations are bigger. It is bad, it's annoying, but it's not at the top of my list of concerns.

"Now I'm concentrating on winning games. I'm not bothered if it's me who scores. The only thing I hope is that this bad luck which is following me ends soon."

OBJECTIVES

Neymar also affirmed that he still has many challenges left to conquer. There is a long list of objectives remaining in his career.

He added: "I have a lot of ambitions, many challenges. I still have a lot of things to do, there are a lot of titles I've not won which I still want to win.

"I am already thinking of the next World Cup. I'm not anxious, but I consider myself a daydreamer. I can't stop thinking and imagining what it would be like to win a World Cup with Brazil.

"I am going to work hard to be ready for 2018.

"The only thing that I want is to work hard to maintain my numbers, score goals and continue to be happy. I don't want to be better than anyone, the only thing I want is to be better every day. That's what matters to me."
