Neymar available for the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid
The Brazil international is one booking from a ban but managed to stay out of trouble at Anoeta
Barcelona star Neymar will be available for the Clasico against Real Madrid on Dec. 3 at Camp Nou. The Brazilian will be able to take his place in the front three with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Neymar was running the risk of missing the game in the case he was booked against Real Sociedad, where Barça picked up a fortunate point. Just like Sergio Ramos on Saturday, any foul play would have ruled him out of Madrid’s visit.
However, as with Ramos, he managed to complete the game without being booked by referee Jesus Gil Manzano and remains on four yellow cards for the season. His next booking will lead to a suspension.
Several Barça players were booked, mind. Javier Mascherano, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jordi Alba and Denis Suarez were all cautioned by Gil, although it won’t affect any of them for the Clasico.
Neymar produced a great run and pass to create the goal for Lionel Messi at Anoeta as Barça drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad. They’re now six points behind Madrid at the top of the table following back-to-back draws in La Liga.
