New Valencia coach Marcelino targets Barcelona midfielder Denis
The two worked together at Villarreal in La Liga last season
Denis hasn't had many opportunities to impress at Barcelona
Last summer Valencia had to deal with several transfer offers from Barceloan for their players, but this summer things could be the other way around.
Valencia have appointed Marcelino as their new coach for next season and can now start to plan the make up of their squad for the next campaign.
One player Marcelino already has his sights on, according to Superdeporte, is Denis Suarez. The coach wants the midfielder, who he coached at Villarreal, as he begins to reconstruct his squad.
Denis was particularly impressive while at Villarreal with Marcelino, creating 13 goals and earning a move back to Barça -- it's easy to see why he'd be an attractive option for Valencia.
Valencia also have an option to sign Munir, who's been on loan at Mestalla this season, for 12 million euros. It's previously been reported they won't take the option up, but Marcelino's arrival may change things.
