New Napoli offensive for Gerard Deulofeu
They have reopened talks as they try to bring the winger to Italy
Napoli have reopened talks with Barcelona to try and loan forward Gerard Deulofeu. Napoli have broken off talks for Simone Verdi of Bologna after failing to reach a deal with club or player. They have turned their attention back to Deulofeu, but that will not be easy either.
Sources from Napoli say they want him on loan with an option to buy. Current Napoli president Di Laurentis has ordered conversations to be opened again after the failure to bring in Verdi.
Deulofeu is one of various options with Politano, Younes and Lucas Moura also on the table. Barcelona want an obligatory option to buy in a loan deal worth 20 million euros, but Napoli do not accept that. They would only be willing to pay that much if Deulofeu convinced them while there.
