Nelson Semedo is prepared to start his new adventure at Barcelona, but didn't miss the chance to wave goodbye to Benfica and their fans. The defender said goodbye with an emotional message on Instagram.
"Benficistas, before anything I want to thank the people that have worked with me directly and indirectly for everything. Without you I would not have been able to make a dream come true. It was an honour to wear the Benfica shirt, a club which always gave me everything and I have no way of thanking them for it beyond giving my body and soul until the last minute. I leave but I take Benfica with me in my heart. Don't forget me because I will never forget you. Thanks for everything."
He is now ready to work under Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona for the next five seasons.
