Munir keeping feet on the ground and working hard to make Barça impression

Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi may have had a lot of success in a short period of time, but he still seems to be relatively grounded.

In an interview with 'Sportium', he said he can't believe how things have gone this season.

"I have my feet on the ground," he stated.

"I only want to work hard and continue showing that I can have a place among the best players in the world.

"I didn't expect things to happen so quickly, but I'm not scared.

"I have confidence in myself and I'm taking things in my stride."

Training with the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi is clearly benefitting the youngster.

"I'm learning from the best and I'm enjoying the present," he continued.

"Whatever happens, I will continue fighting to win my place with the same enthusiasm as always.

"It's not easy to win a place in a team like Barça, but I want to keep showing the manager that he can count on me."

And Munir wanted to reserve special praise for Messi.

"He is my idol," he added.

"He's the best player in the world, he's a unique footballer and one who I look up to.

"He can do things nobody else can do; everything is easier when you are playing next to him.

"Everytime he gets the ball there is danger and playing with him is a dream.

"But it gives me pride to play with all these players, the best in the world  - like Neymar - and it's a pleasure to be here."

As for this season, Munir remains optimistic.

"The ojective is to fight for every title," he concluded.

"We have a great team and with a squad like this it's an obligation to aspire to win everything."
