MSN off to their best start ever and could reach 150 goals this season
Messi, Suarez and Neymar have17 goals in their first seven games, more than in previous campaigns
Barcelona's front three have started the season better than ever: 17 goals in their first seven official games of the 2016-17 season. And that's with Neymar missing the first four games due tothe Olympic Games. If they continue at this rate, the 122 goals from 2014-15 and the 131 from 2015-16 will look like nothing in comparison to the 150 Messi, Suarez and Neymar could hit this year.
In their first year together, Suarez didn't debut until Oct. 25. Between Messi and Neymar, 11 goals were scored in the opening seven games. In the end, the trio bagged 122 goals in 60 games.
In their second season together, 2015-16, the trident began slowly. They only scored eight goals in their first seven games, but the gradually woke up and, once they clicked, didn't stop scoring, eventually managing 131 goals in 62 games.
So far in their third campaign together, they've already shared out 17 goals in just seven games:
- Messi: 8 goals
- Suarez: 7 goals
- Neymar: 2 goals
If Luis Enrique's team are capbale of maintaining their form, which has seen the MSN average 2.42 goals per game, Messi, Suarez and Neymar could end the season with 150 goals -- hammering their previous efforts of 122 and 131.
However, Luis Enrique appears more prepared to rest and rotate his forwards this season. Will they reach 150 goals?
