'Money can be very powerful' - Jordi Cruyff on Neymar's future

Jordi Cruyff has been speaking to Esports Cope from Tel Aviv. The son of Johan Cruyff is the sporting director at Maccabi and has been talking about various subjects, such as Pep Guardiola's move to Manchester City and Neymar's future.

On Neymar, Cruyff was positive and relaxed about the player's renewal with Barça. Even though he understands that some offers can be tempting: "There's a mix between romanticism to always play for the same club and tempting offers from elswhere. The power of money is very powerful. We already know Neymar's situation at Barça is very good, but there are always better [offers]. I hope he stays."

On La Liga, Cruyff sees Barcelona as the favourites after their recent win over Atletico Madrid: "The victory against Atletico has given Barça a lot of confidence. But you cannot forget Atletico and Real Madrid. Games against sides needing points, like Levante, can create problems and there's still a long way to go. Still, it's inevitable people will look at the points difference and relax."

Finally, he spoke about Guardiola's pending move from Bayern Munich to City. He would have like to see him at Manchester United, though, where he himself played as a player many years ago. "I would have liked Pep at Unied. They have more tradition than City. It is a good moment to work at City, though, because they have the set up, the money and the will to create a good team."
